a note from the artist.
I have to thank my parents for any talent I might possess. Of course, there might have been some underlying abilities, but if they hadn't sat me down with an art teacher at age 3, I may have never discovered my love for drawing and painting.
Although I studied art quite seriously growing up, I decided to pursue a career in marketing. This is more than fine for me–art has always been a creative and I am happy keeping it separate from my professional life. The art you see here is really the sum of my life experiences. Certain thoughts, images, and faces have remained to be re-shaped and compressed, until they emerge on the other side as art.
For many years, I was a realist, obsessing over perfection. I am so glad time has turned my style more abstract. For me, colors, shapes, lines, and layers are much better at portraying what's actually there: the world through my eyes.
I hope you all enjoy!
